GLOBAL EXPANSION IN PHOTOINITIATOR MANUFACTURING
WITH A NEW GREENFIELD SITE IN CHINA AND FURTHER UPGRADING OF THE MORTARA, ITALY SITE
IGM is committed to investing in photoinitiator capacity and process improvements that will benefit, and support, our valued customers. Due to the growing demand of our global business and the drive to introduce innovative new products to the uv-radcure market, IGM is pleased to announce it has commenced the development of a new, state of the art, photoinitiator production facility in Anqing, Anhui Province, China. The new site will be designed with a finished product capacity in excess of ten thousand metric tons and include backward integration into key starting materials. The site will also include a new pilot facility and flexible scale-up production capacity to facilitate the introduction of new photoinitiators developed in support of key market trends, including LED curing, low migration and water borne UV technology. Work on the site will begin in Q3 2019 with the first production scheduled by Q4 2020.
Further increasing our global presence, to ensure optimal customer satisfaction, IGM also announces 2 major capacity expansion projects at its Mortara, Italy photoinitiator production site that will increase the site’s capacity by 25%.
The new photoinitiator production facility in Anqing, in addition to IGM’s existing site in Haimen, and the capacity expansion in Mortara, Italy will ensure that IGM is able to address the increasing global demand for high quality photoinitiator products and successfully produce and launch new products. IGM is committed to maintaining the consistently high-quality products for which we are known. Through these global expansion activities, we will ensure that IGM is able to provide uninterrupted deliveries that will keep our customers’ operations running smoothly.
