REGULATORY AFFAIRS SPECIALIST | EUROPE

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for raw material & product information gathering, and authoring hazard communication documents like SDS and hazard labels. 
  • Responsible regulatory information gathering, and generation of regulatory information sheets and statements. 
  • Providing support to customers (customer questionnaires and questions), suppliers, agents and IGM team members.
  • Liaison with external consultants to ensure regulatory projects are on target and on budget.
  • Setting up and regulating product registrations in compliance with existing and emerging global legislation.
  • Responsible for global GHS compliance of traded and manufactured products. Highlight any discrepancies and work to correct with colleagues and manager.
  • Management of regulatory information in databases under their management.
  • DGSA advisor, work with compliance officer on safety issues and internal training.

KEY CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Author legally compliant SDSs across global territories, SDSs and labels for all business units. Ensure documents are always compliant with latest regulations and any changes are communicated internally and externally
  • Manage the technical data and regulatory compliance status of all substances and products within the regulatory database, via the timely updating of data, so that every site within IGM remains compliant, and that RISs can be generated by the Regulatory team in timely fashion.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors level Chemistry and/or General Science. 
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in an international organization in a similar position, focusing on regulatory affairs/compliance in the UV Radcure industry. 
  • Familiarity with GHS, international regulations and legislations, specific to product safety issues (e.g. indirect food contact, substance migration), experience with industry bodies such as Cefic’s sector groups and chemical competent authorities
  • Qualified DGSA desirable. 
  • Fluent in English.Considered a plus are candidates who worked with complex SDS authoring software.
