For our European Business Unit, we are looking for a:
Regional Regulatory Affairs Specialist [EMEA] 
Reporting to the Global Regulatory Affairs Director and regional reporting to the European Business Director

JOB PURPOSE
The Regional Regulatory Affairs Specialist fulfils a pro-active role in worldwide support and advice in law- and legislation and product registration. Your contribution will result in minimizing company risks and further professionalization of the company’s activities. Travelling within Europe will be required for the position. 

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setting up and regulating product registration for Europe and export territories in compliance with existing and emerging global legislation;
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance of all products and substances traded and manufactured in Europe or export markets.  These include EU-REACH, other European compliance systems, and working with customers to achieve regulatory compliance. Highlight any discrepancies and work to correct with manager.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all products sold within Europe for food and sensitive packaging are compliant with the Swiss Ordinance
  • Maintenance of regulatory information in the product database.  
  • Providing support to customers (customer questionnaires and questions), suppliers, agents and IGM team members;
  • Ensuring GHS and CLP compliant SDS and labels for European and export business unit are available. Ensure documents are always compliant with latest regulations and any changes are communicated internally and externally;
  • Manage external consultants to ensure approved regulatory projects are conducted on target and within budget
  • Act as Global Regulatory Director Deputy for European matters.  
  • DG safety advisor, work with compliance officer on safety issues and internal training.

JOB REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors level Chemistry and General Science. 
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in an international organization in a similar position focusing on regulatory affairs, preferably in the UV Radcure industry. 
  • Familiar with REACH, Swiss Ordinance, CLP/GHS, international regulations and legislations, General Product Safety (Food- contact and Product Safety Authority), industry bodies such as Radtech and EuPIA. 
  • Qualified DGSA. 
  • Fluent in English. 
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (in particular MS-Excel)
  • Position specific software (e.g. regulatory search engines).
